Indigestion is a health issue indeed

Indigestion often makes your stomach or intestine filled with gases. Disgustingly, the gases are farted through the rectum with sound and stinking smell. This problem occurs to all human being but those who suffer from indigestion release more breaking wind and the problem is ghastly.

Digestion is a very normal and indeed a vital process happening in human body. It is the process of extracting energy for the body from our diets. There are various processes involved in digestion like breaking of food particles, action of acids on them, etc. Any obstruction to these processes causes indigestion.

There are certain causes for indigestion. Eating foods in a hurry, eating heavily more than required for the body, consumption of lots of snacks like chocolates, ulcer, anxiety, wearing constricted dresses while eating, doing exercises after eating, are some of the reasons why indigestion occurs. Note the point that these are only ‘some’ of the reasons. Sometime there may be unidentifiable cause for indigestion.

Indigestion that is occurring often should be taken care with consultation of a doctor because it might the symptom of some other disease finding roots in body. But most probably eating heavy meals untimed and eating foods during stressed mind condition causes indigestion. What you eat and when you eat are the two important factors to be concentrated. Eating lesser food often is better than eating heavy meals two or three times a day. The traditional 3 meals system existing in the world makes acid reflux uncontrollable.

The mammoth food taken at a single time, place the stomach under enormous stress. It should be always remembered that the last meal of the day should be had 3 hours before to sleep. The food should be digested before going to bed otherwise it would result in indigestion the very next morning. Esophagus is a 10” long tube that connects the mouth with stomach. Foods we eat travel through this tube and reach the lower esophageal sphincter.

Heartburns are bound to happen if this esophageal sphincter is weak or dysfunctional. The dysfunctional may be caused by eating allergenic foods regularly and poor eating habits. The fungus and bacteria like Candida which can also result in indigestion. There should be a strong immune system to prevent this fungus and bacteria from causing indigestion. Ironically, there are some bacteria which aid the digestion. Using antibiotic tablet may sometime destroy those bacteria. So we have to check to maintain the digestion assisting bacteria in our digestive system. Once Candida overgrows, it begins to destroy the digestion aiding bacteria.
